Fundraising for the Guild has always been a significant task, often falling on the shoulders of only a few individuals. This year, we hope to spread the effort and ask each of you to participate by reaching out to your contacts. Whether it’s parts companies, scope dealers, local sporting stores, businesses you frequent, or even friends and acquaintances—everyone can play a part in helping secure donations for the Guild.
We understand that asking for donations can be challenging, so we’ve made the process simpler for you. We’ve prepared a cover letter that you can hand out or email, which provides a brief explanation of who we are and what we do. Additionally, there’s a form included for donations—whether it’s physical items or a hunt/trip offering. The form allows donors to provide the necessary details and send it directly to me, eliminating the need for you to act as the middleman.
IDEAS FOR ITEMS TO ASK FOR:
- Firearms of any brand or type… pistols, shotguns, rifles, even bows
- Scopes and suppressors
- Gun parts and good cases
- Outdoor gear and clothing
- Hunting related items
- Knives and tools
- Belts and leather gear
- Ladies’ purses and jewelry
- Technology of any kind… bluetooth speakers, noise cancelling headphones, watches
- Hunts and trips… is there a cruise or hunt you went and on loved?
- Coolers, grills, camping gear
- Fancy local coffee or wine, limited edition whiskey, novelty foods your area is known for, etc.
- Kitchen gadgets… pizza oven, espresso machine, air frier
- ….anything you can think of! There’s always someone who would like to win your item.
