FYI - I just learned that Al Ward has passed away

I felt a "disturbance in the force" when Al passed. He and I exchanged barbs and memories for many, many years.

I agree with Steve Nelson. Al only lived a couple of miles from us when we lived in Grass Valley. I would always give Al a bad time , accusing him of stuffing the ballot box and winning the "best table display" every year. I learned never to call Al before 10 AM ( I guess he needed his beauty sleep) He did have some darned good looking hair ! Quite a character. He had so many great stories of his PG&E years and his cowboy'n days. God sent him Carol to keep him in line. Rest in peace Al.
